Days 3 and First-Half of 4...update by Pastor Eric
The goat with rice and beans is almost ready for our Sunday lunch...so time for a quick update. We had a wonderful day of fellowship with Haitian youth on Saturday at the beach, bringing donated goggles for kids who don't normally have a way to see what is in the sea. What fun to share these gifts with our Haitian friends!

In the afternoon we had time to prepare for more diaconal visits to homes by going to a bulk food store and buying rice, black beans and oil to divide into bags for delivery.

Last night we loaded up in a pick-up truck and went for a sunset walk on Blue Hills Beach and ended the day with pizza.

Heading out for a sunset walk and pizza...don't worry. Kekette only drove about 15 miles per hour! |

What a beautiful world God has made! |
This morning (Sunday) we divided into two groups to go to church. I went to one Haitian church with my wife (Donna) and Teresa Fields where I preached on 2 Samuel 12 and the grace of God to King David, while my son (Micah) and Sarah Lindberg took the youth to another church where they ministered in songs and testimonies to a Haitian youth group. There'll be pictures of that up later.

Filled with the joy of the Lord...a Haitian believer praising God for His grace.
Do you know the source of that kind of joy? |

Thank you for your prayers! Tonight we're going to meet with another youth group at a different church. Time for our Sunday goat, rice with bean sauce and plantains, ..and time for Daniel to get that lizard off his ear!

Love, love, love the pictures and the stories of what you are doing and what God is doing through you. Thanks so much for the blog for keeping us connected to what is going on each day. Love you, Erin, especially! Sleep tight tonight, and I can't wait to read more again tomorrow!
